Parallel lives

Judy Ryder & Mary Keelty
Judy and Mary share their stories of moving from the East Coast to California with their husbands during the turbulent 1960s. Both women were afraid they wouldn’t fit in. Yet Judy and Mary fell in love with San Francisco by 1969, at the height of the Flower Power movement and anti-Vietnam War sentiment. The experience shaped their lives, leading both to become health care workers at the Hospice of Petaluma. Edit credit: Mike Addis
